Awards and Recognition
At Aabybro Mejeri (Aabybro Dairy) we appreciate good quality and that gets appreciated by others.
This has resulted in a series of awards and acknowledgements, both nationally and internationally.
This includes gold medals at the Scandinavian Dairy Contest (Landsmejeriudstillingen) in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010.
On June 2, 2000 we produced the world’s largest ice cream gateau and Aabybro Mejeri (Aabybro Dairy) made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
In 2001, we received the Initiative Award for vision and strong workmanship from the Danish bank Spar Nord.
We received the Rotary Business Award in 2003 and we received the highly sought Food Award from the Danish business newspaper Børsen in 2004.
Also we achieved gold in the national SIAL show in 2004 and we received the Gold Snail Award in 2004-05.
In 2005 N.H. Lindhardt, the owner of Aabybro Mejeri, was knighted by the French order Cordon Bleu Du Saint Esprit.
Finally, we won the Danish Dairy Board’s Gourmet Award, also in 2005. This was for our traditional butter with special high-quality salt from the Danish island Læsø.
In 2004 & 2007 we won the Børsen's award for best ice cream.
Aabybro Dairywas on the top of the podium as the best milk product was announced at the Scandinavian Dairy Contest in 2008.
There was both a handshake, applause, and certificates, and donations to Aabybro Mejeri as Scandinavia's best dairy products were announced at Scandinavian Dairy Contest.

In 2008 we got Danish Gastromisk Academy's award for our ice cream to sick people, which is our energy ice cream.
